Detik12.com-Dumai, Kapasitas Rumah Tahanan (Rutan) Kelas IIB Dumai sejak beberapa tahun terahir mengalami over kapasitas,hingga kini ada 981 orang merupakan warga binaan.Sementara itu kapasitas Rutan Dumai secara normal hanya berkapasitas cuma 256 orang.
Hal itu disampaikan Kepala Pengamanan Rutan ( KPR) kelas IIB, Aldino kepada wartawan di billrom Hotel Granzuri pada pelaksanaan Uji kompeteni Wartawan PWI Riau Jumat (14-12-2018).
Sejak beberapa tahun, jumlah waga binaan melebihi kapasitas dikirim ke Pekanbaru ,Pasir Pangeraian dan Bengkalis. Rutan Dumai berharap Pemerintah dapat segera dapat membantu membangun ruang tahanan baru.
Sementara terkait prestasi pelayanan Rutan Kelas IIB Dumai meraih penghargaan pelayanan publik berbasis hak asasi manusia 11 Desember 2018.Perlu adanya pembangunan baru guna mengatasi kelebihan jumlah warga binaan.
“Kita sudah mengajukan kepada Pemerintah Kota Dumai untuk pembangunan, kini telah mengusulkan mengenai tanah hibah Pemerintah Kota Dumai yang telah disediakan seluas 3,4 hektar,” pungkas Aldino.
